November Wrap Up
Blogging for the Jane Goodall Institute, Successful Operation Christmas Child, Peace Video Contest...
Hello! November was a fun-filled month, packed with service and opportunities to change the world for the better. I've had some very exciting things going on, including that I officially founded the pro-life club at Sacred Heart. Currently we are doing a change drive for Friends of the Unborn, a crisis pregnancy center in Quincy. Here's my quick wrap-up of the month to summarize what I've been up to!
Good For All News Blogging for Dr. Jane
This month I've written two posts for the Jane Goodall Institute's blog, Good For All News. In the days after the presidential election my voice was included in a post entitled "Election Reflection: What Comes Next?" which included several female youth voices. I was absolutely honored to share my hopes for the country as we approach this crossroad.
My second post went up last week called "5 Holiday Service Project Ideas." Take a look to see my favorite Christmas Roots & Shoots and family service projects!
Very exciting news! Our SHHS Roots & Shoots group ended up donating 413.8 lbs of Halloween candy to Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops for care packages. This is our third year running this drive. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
Also, I dropped off 24 boxes from St. Joseph's and my friends and family to Operation Christmas Child, which brings millions of boxes with toys, school supplies, and toiletries to children in need around the world. I'm already planning and getting ready to expand this project next year!
Sitting in the back of the car with Ozzy & the 24 boxes ready to be dropped off!
Also, I just found out that I am a finalist for the TATV Peace & Harmony Youth Video Contest. I will find out later this month if I placed. Here's my video:
I've also been making videos for the weeks of Advent. Here's week one and week two:
As always, thank you to everyone who continues to support me!
