Project SDG360 Launch!
This week was an incredibly busy week of school, catching up from my recent trip to speak in Washington D.C., volunteering at church, and more. Last night I was so grateful to have attended an amazing night of prayer with the Archdiocese of Boston. We hosted Catholic speaker Jackie Francois, and she was incredible! I have looked up to Jackie as a speaker and as a role model for awhile, and it was amazing to hear her speak and to spend time with some of my favorite people in the Archdiocese.
Also, I have officially launched my new long-term community service campaign, SDG360! When I attended International Peace Day last month at the United Nations Headquarters, I was able to learn more about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These are 17 goals that were proposed by the UN in January 2016 to be completed by 2030. The goals address a widespread of topics, including stopping climate change, eliminating poverty, and securing equality.

Since I visited the UN, I was inspired to create Project SDG360. It is my own community service campaign and during each month I'll focus on one project aligning with a specific SDG goal. There are 17 goals and roughly 17 months until I graduate. Starting this month, October 2016, I'll do a project for each goal with hopes of working toward the SDGs and inspiring others to do the same. This month I focused on my public speaking trip to D.C. for goal #17, and next month I am joining forces with Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child. I'm going to need everyone's help, so please check out my website's page for this exciting project!
As always, thank you to everyone who supports me on this incredible journey. There are so many amazing things going on, but there are still so many reasons to work to change this world for the better.
